Lovecraft – A Free Blogger WordPress Theme by Anders Noren

There are some WordPress themes designers that I count as my favorites and one of them is Anders Noren.

He has previously released  popular free themes such as Hemingway, Baskerville and Wilson as you probably know, right? If not, take a look at all of his themes in the WordPress themes directory.

He recently released a new fresh free theme named Lovecraft. Maybe inspired by Howard Phillips Lovecraft, known as HP Lovecraft who was one of the most significant 20th-century authors in his genre.

Lovecraft is a beautiful crisp two-column theme perfect for any kind of bloggers. With a big header image that makes a striking first impression. This is a classic blog theme that sets the content primarily in focus for the readers and visitors. It features a fully responsive adaptable design. Lovecraft is built to scale gracefully to any and all screen sizes – from a 27″ desktop display to a 3.5″ smartphone.

In other words, you got it all covered.

The theme comes with elegant and beautiful typography and every part of the typography in Lovecraft is thoroughly considered. You can customize the theme to adjust the colors, switching the default header image to one of your own, upload your own logo or use the four widget areas to put your own touch on the theme. Lovecraft also features editor styles, a full-width-page template, three custom widgets and translation ready code. More features included in the theme are:

  • Fully responsive design
  • Retina ready
  • 4 widget areas
  • 3 custom widgets
  • Full-width-page template
  • Great typography
  • Customizability
  • Jetpack support
  • Translation ready

Personally I think this is a beautiful and attractive free WordPress theme that is perfectly suited for blogs. Anders Noren design and create themes in an elegant way without a lot of unnecessary features. Which I think is one of the reasons why his themes are so popular.

Have you had the opportunity to try Lovecraft yet? What do you think?
